The new WTC1 is up around 80 stories these days, which is high enough to be above low weather. Therefore nice pictures, nicely tweeted by the Port Authority (click to engorge):
Jersey City off to the right, part of lower Manhattan on the left. The building under construction on the left is the new WTC4; the little thing peeking behind WTC4′s right side is the 23-story building my office is in.
The big area ahead with no tall buildings is the harbor.

Well, I’m giving your blog it’s first “amazeballs,” because that is surely a perfect example of amazeballs photography.
You have no idea how much effort I put into copying and pasting that URL.
Oh, I know all about that kind of effort. I’m the hot linking queen. [/bad Internet citizen]
hot linking queen
Really not an ABBA fan.
Is it considered better form to just steal the pictures and upload them yourself?
(I do that a lot.)
~
Yes, it is.
I thought the polite thing to do was to link and give attribution, as I usually do.
OK, St. Ned.
I’m not judging. I think a lot of people have unrealistic expectations about keeping control of their words and images after they post.
I was just teasing…but it is preferred that you not link to other people’s pics…at least it used to be.
The vast majority of pics I link to are government owned and therefore public domain or on aggregator sites like Gothamist. My guilt is in check.
Well, as I said, I hotlink all the time, so I was never judging.

Behind the photographer, to the left, and down 900 feet.
In Pamela Geller’s fevered imagination
That is a really great picture.
